04 Jun. Waharau Bush Walk & Ridge Track   (E, 4 hrs)

11 Jun  Whatipu to Pararaha Point (E, 5hrs)

         Walk Gibbons track, Pararaha Valley Muir Track to Pararaha Point and return via Whatipu Coast.

25 Jun  North Shore Coastal Walk, Castor bay to Browns bay ( E  4.5 hrs )

02 Jul  One Tree Hill, Mt Eden, Mt Hobson & Mt St John   ( E, 5 hrs)

       Meet 9:00am at Haydn Ave, Cronwall Park. (36°54'28.2"S 174°46'32.3"E). Walk to One Tree Hill,  

             Mt Eden , Mt St John and Mt Hobson 




09 Jul  Kitekite Fall & Cutty Grass ( E 4.5 hrs )

30  Jul  Mangatangi Dam & Pukapuka Peak (E 4.5 hrs)

             Meet 9:45am at Workman Rd carpark. Take SH1 south, exit  onto SH2 toward Coromandel,  

             left to Mangatangi Rd. and left onto Kaiaua Rd. turn left onto Workman Rd. further to roadend

06 Aug  Te Atatu Harbour View Walkway (E, 4hrs)

      Meet 9:30am at Chapman Rd carpark. Take SH1 to SH16, turn right off to Te Atatu Peninsula,   

      follow Te Atatu Rd, left into Chapman Rd and drive to the end of carpark.

 13 Aug  Mt William Walkway  (E, 4hrs)

             Meet 9:30am at McMillan Road end carpark Mangatawhiri (drive through 

             a gate). Off SH 2.    (37°13'16.5"S 178°01'47.5"E).



20 Aug   Wairoa Dam (E, 4hrs)

         Wairoa Dam Suspension Bridge Track, Wairoa Loop Track, Wairoa Valley Track 

         Meet 9:30am at Wairoa carpark. Take SH1 south to Papakura, follow Beach Rd, Settlement Rd,   

         turn right to Hunua Rd, left into Moumoukai Rd to Wairoa Dam carpark.

27 Aug  Birkenhead Domain to Lynn Reserve Return (E, 4.5hr)

              Meet 9:30am at roadside opposite to 3 Domain Road, Glenfield (-36.792714, 174.723466)

             Glenfield Rd, left to Domain Road. Walk Birkenhead Domain, Eskdale Reserve, Glenfield Coastal  

             Walkway to Lynn Reserve..   



3 Sep  Nihotupu Walk & Ians Well Track (E, 4.5hrs)

10 Sep  Shakespear Regional Park    (E, 4 hrs)

           Meet 9:30am at Army Bay carpark  (36°36'5.75"S 174°48'48.69"E).

           Take SH1 north, exit Silverdale and to Whangaparaoa Rd to road end of  

           Army Bay carpark  (36°36'5.75"S 174°48'48.69"E).

           Okoramai Bay to Trap & return, Heritage trail to Te Haruhi Bay, low tide to Pink Beach, Tiritiri 

           Track to lookout, Heritage trail back to Army Bay. (low Tide: 12.52pm)



17 Sep   Totara Park, Botanical garden (E,4hrs)

 Meet 9.30am at Botanical Garden carpark. (37°0'49.38"S 174°54'26.92"E) Totara Park bush walk,       

 Puhinui stream, bridal loop.




24 Sep  Mangemangeroa Reserve (E, 4.5 hrs) 

      Volunteer Helper:  Eng                         Carpool Fee $5

      Meet 9:30am Caldwells Rd carpark. (36°56'53.63"S 174°55'33.21"E) 

           Walk Point View Reserve for 1 hr before proceeding to Hayley Lane carpark.

      (36°56'02.3"S 174°55'55.9"E). Walk Mangemangeroa Reserve Track to Shelly Beach Parade and   

      return. (Low tide at 12:08pm)






 

 

 

Important Notice:


  • Tramping presents potential risks that everyone should be aware of. You may be getting lost or meet an accident.


  • Safety is your own responsibility. It is your own risk to attend the tramp. Nobody is liable for your accident.


  • To minimise potential risk, never go walking alone. Following experienced group trampers within eyesight distance to avoid getting lost is always recommended. Newcomer must be accompanied by existing group trampers otherwise will not be allowed to join the tramp. Slow trampers must be led by someone who knows the way. Always bring your map, mobile phone and even First Aid pack! Always know well where the tracks are and where you are going in case you get lost!
  • All coastal and stream walks are off tracked. Return if you are not able to follow closely with the group.
  • All tracks are held rain or shine. It may only be altered or cancelled in case of bad weather, track closed or special circumstances.
  • The E grade on the program means easy walks and suitable for beginners. M and H are for experienced trampers only.
  • Meeting time at track entrance carpark. If you need transport from GCC, please make your request through STG WhatsApp.
  • Priority is given for tramping program to be posted on STG WhatsApp. To make sure tramping program is prominent and easily noticeable by everyone.
  • Pay carpool fee to driver. Carpool fee at 10 cents per km, rounding to nearest $5.00 for distance travelled (return) from GCC. Share infringement if any.
  • Bring lunch, drink, hat, parka and walking stick along with you. Must always wearing tramping boots. Always expect wet feet.
  • DO NOT post anyone’s face photo, private information (e.g. home address and phone number) to public without that person’s permission!
  • If you have not joined STG WhatsApp, leave your WhatsApp phone number to one of the Admin (Khor Tong or Howard Lee) to be added so that you are notified for some special situation and latest updated information.
