at beginning the track is good with a gravel surface through a low bush area
a rainy day so the track is muddy
section of boardwalk passing through damp looking forest
root-ladders down steep slopes
crossing the Mangahuia Stream
walking through wetland areas
track covered with thatch(茅草)
turning left to Whakapapa-Whakapapaiti Hut track
from the track junction there is quite a steep descent to the river and a bridge (over Whakapapaiti Stream)
long boardwalk passing swamp areas
The end of the boardwalk is reached then a bridge is crossed to enter a forest
